One of my favorite $1 cards in my collection. The game was played on March 12, 1995 in Orlando. It was Shaquille O’Neals third season in the league. The Magic came into the game with the best record in the NBA, and a leagues best 31-1 record at home. David Robinson had owned the previous 5 meetings against Shaq, winning all 5 games.
The card pictured (Above) shows Robinson pulling up on the baseline for a shot, with Shaq in full extension trying to block him. Robinson actually hits the shot from this picture, which always made me laugh because its a Shaquille O’Neal featured card. Orlando would go on to beat the Spurs giving Shaq his first win over the Admiral extending Orlandos record on the year to 48 wins and 32-1 at home.
